How to Reach Gangtok ?
Silliguri (West Bengal) is the nearest city connects to Gangtok. The airport of Silliguri is located at Bagdogra and the Railway station is known as New Jalpaiguri. The New Jalpaiguri station is about 8 km away from Siliguri. Silliguri is well connected by road networks to various neighbouring states.
Gangtok is about 125 Kms away from Bagdogra, the nearest Airport, and well connected by most of the domestic flights operators from the capital cities of North East India, as well as, major cities like Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, etc.
Regular bus/taxi services are available in plenty between Bagdogra/Siliguri/New Jalpaiguri and Gangtok. You may go to the office of Sikkim National Transport (SNT) on the Hill Cart Road, Siliguri to get a direct bus service up to Gangtok.
