PLANNER- Promotion of Library Automation and Networking in North East Region is a special initiative taken up by Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET) to bring awareness among library professionals in the field of Information Technology and its application to Library Services. After the overwhelming response and success of five PLANNERS, INFLIBNET is planning to organize PLANNER-2008, at the School of Engineering and Technology, Dimapur, Nagaland University, Nagaland. INFLIBNET has successfully organized five PLANNERS in different parts of North East in collaboration with the universities located in the region on rotation basis in each state. First PLANNER was held at NEHU, Shilong, Second at Manipur University, Imphal, Third at Assam University, Silchar, fourth at Mizoram University, Aizawl and fifth in Guwahati University, Assam. This event has become popular not only in North East but also amongst professionals from rest of the country and neighboring countries. This is the sixth PLANNER in series, which is to be held at Nagaland University, Dimapur, during 6th – 7th November, 2008.
PLANNER 2008 Programme committee solicits high quality technical papers related to the themes and sub-themes listed below(but not limited to).
Papers typed in Open Office/MS-Word format can be sent as attachment addressed to Mr. Manoj Kumar K, Convener, PLANNER 2008(planner2008@inflibnet.ac.in) directly through E-Mail or in a floppy by post. The length of the paper should normally be within 5000 words. Papers should contain full name and affiliations with e-mail of author(s), an abstract, author biography and references properly cited in the text of article. The paper should neither be published anywhere nor should have been kept under consideration for publication elsewhere and the author should agree to transfer the copyright to the conference organizers. A passport size photograph(s) of author(s) has to be submitted with the paper.
