 In the changing scenario of Libraries and Information Centers, INFLIBNET has played major role in bringing IT culture and establishing infrastructure in Indian Universities. The north eastern region, which is very rich in its cultural diversity with manifold ethnic traditions and folklore, promises valuable and priceless entities in the form of ancient manuscripts and cultural artifacts. Preservation and managing these entities using digital technology for the future generation is of utmost importance, and the current trends in this area needs to be deliberated and discussed.
